More About Me

I am a warm, inviting and compassionate therapist in Tacoma, WA, with a naturally curious nature and a deep passion for helping others. Collaboration is at the heart of my practice, and I find fulfillment in building meaningful connections with my clients. My personal relationships inspire and ground me in my work, allowing me to bring authenticity and care to every session. Outside of therapy, I enjoy outdoor adventures, exploring the Pacific Northwest, spending quality time with loved ones, and finding moments of solitude to reflect and recharge.

A Personalized Approach to Therapy

As a therapist, I work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and goals. Using a tailored approach, I incorporate evidence-based modalities to support each client’s journey toward growth and healing. My therapeutic foundation is grounded in:

  • Humanistic Values: Recognizing every individual’s inherent worth and potential for growth, I approach therapy with dignity and respect.

  • Systems Theory: Understanding that our beliefs, behaviors, and relationships are influenced by the broader systems in which we live, I help clients explore and navigate these dynamics.

  • Attachment Theory: Acknowledging the role of safety and security in shaping our relationships, I assist clients in building healthier, more connected bonds.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Helping clients uncover and address negative patterns, unresolved emotions, and unmet attachment needs to foster more meaningful and fulfilling connections.

My Background

Credentials: BS, MA, LMFTA

I earned my Master of Arts (MA) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University and currently licensed in Washington as a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA, License # MG61639757). During my training I worked at both the Couples and Family Therapy Center at Pacific Lutheran University and Integrated Therapy Services Northwest where I had the privilege of working with diverse clients across various life stages, populations, and diagnoses. This experience fueled my passion for helping couples and those navigating the reproductive and parenting journey, inspiring me to pursue advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method (L1) and Perinatal Wellness and Mood Disorders. As a lifelong learner, I continuously seek new training to grow alongside my clients and provide the best possible care.

In addition to my therapy credentials, I hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a marketing focus. My professional background includes certifications in Project Management, Project Leadership, and People Skills. Over the years, I’ve  contributed my skills to organizations specializing in early childhood development and parent education, managed projects and marketing efforts for technology companies and poured my heart into global humanitarian initiatives. My wide-ranging career has enriched my perspective, bringing a unique depth to my therapeutic practice.

Empathy Through Personal Experience

As a wife, mother of two, and someone who has faced personal losses and mental health challenges, I bring deep empathy and understanding to my work. I know firsthand the complexities of relationships and the profound impact of secure connections on mental health and overall well-being. These experiences inform my approach, allowing me to create a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered to heal.
